Original papers that address Individual Psychology, Adlerian theory, and
Adlerian practice are welcomed to be considered for publication. By
submitting a manuscript, the author(s) agree to compliance with the ethical
codes of either the American Counseling Association (ACA) or the American
Psychological Association (APA) relevant to their research and manuscript,
including not submitting to more than one publisher simultaneously.
Please submit manuscripts that have been prepared within the following
guidelines in the following separate files:
File 1. Manuscript in APA format and style. *Text and references of all
manuscripts should be formatted according to the Publication Manual of the
American Psychological Association 7th ed., 2020. *Be sure to pay
attention to font size, style, headings, abstract, keywords, running head,
and references. Submitted manuscripts must be de-identified. Generally,
article manuscripts are 18-25 pages in length. If an article manuscript
is more than 30 pages, please contact the editorial office before
submitting it. Manuscripts must include an abstract of no more than 120
words and relevant keywords.
File 2. Author contact and biographical information. Provide a 3-5
sentence biography for each author listed, including credentials and email
address unless you prefer not to publish email address. Author contact
information should include physical mailing address, email, and phone.
Specify corresponding author. Supplemental files. Include any 300 dpi
images, tables and/or figures in a separately submitted file and refer to
them as “Figure X” within the manuscript.
Authors bear responsibility for the accuracy of all references and
quotations and obtaining copyright permissions for any images. Manuscripts
should be logical, well organized, and concise. Manuscripts are subject to
editorial modification.

Review Process
Unsolicited manuscripts submitted to The Journal of Individual
Psychology undergo a blind peer review process involving at least tworeviewers or contributing editors. Invited, featured, or column manuscripts are peer reviewed by the
journal’s editors, special editor (if any), or column editor (if any).
Manuscripts resubmitted after being returned to their authors for major
revision may be reviewed by one or more additional reviewers at the
discretion of the journal editors.
